Arena of Evolution: Red Tides season 2 is just around the corner and with it arrive some buffs and nerfs to previous team comps as well as the all new “Building” Heroes. Knowing what are the strongest Red Tides builds is important if you want to win more games and rank up be it in solo or duo games. In this article we’ll be going over the best Arena of Evolution Red Tides Hero builds that you can play and have an easier time getting into top 3 each game mode (even Blitz).
Insectoid – Beginner Friendly Hero Composition
The Insectoid build features Oculus, Kamikaze, Mindbreaker and Hive Queen as the core units for this build. Insectoids are ridiculously strong and rather easy to build since you can combine them at 2 pieces instead of 3 which makes it a breeze to upgrade all Insectoids to level 3. After you’ve reached four Insectoids you’ve got two choices: full Marines (easy for new players) or Blaster Longshot Psykers.
A thing to note is that Insectoid placements are incredibly important as you’ll want to place Kamikaze at the front (and other front line behind him) so that he blows up quickly and damage as most enemies as possible.
Insectoid Marines Build
- Hive Queen
- Dragon Breath
Insectoid, Psyker and Blaster Build
- Hive Queen
- Ironbird Rider
This build achieves a lot of synergies: (4) Insectoid, (2) Specialist, (3) Longshot, (3) Blaster, (4) Psyker and (1) Rider. It’s a lot harder to pull of since this comp relies more on rerolling and upgrading units at certain points in the game, rather than just buying any Marine you get like in the first variant.
The Assassin team comp is very strong as long as you can get 6 up and running. Assassins are weak in the early game, though they gain a lot of power during later stages of the game once you get all of them leveled to at least rank 2. Additionally, they’re not so popular among new players so if you’re playing ranked in the lower divisions and want to rank up fast then Assassins are a great choice. Although them being easy to build, sometimes it’s very tricky to win games if your opponent knows what he’s doing so proper positioning is a must in higher elo games. Along with 6 Assassins, you’ll want to run at least 4 Beasts (they give attack speed bonus to all your units on the board) and lastly fill with a Slasher for the Puppet 2 bonus on your Keenedge.
- Shuriken Panda
Specialist builds are incredible in the current meta because all of the units that make this composition are ridiculously strong when they use their skills. For example, Devourer will pretty much insta-kill an unit once or twice per fight and Sunfire is just overpowered when she lands a good ultimate (good positioning on Sunfire is KEY). If you’re a new player don’t attempt this build because it is very hard to pull off and you need to be an experienced player. On top of that, a good economy is also a must if you plan on making the Specialist comp work.
- Oculus (or Sunfire)
The above build achieves (2) Marines, (1) Walker, (2) Immortal, (2) Raptor, (2) Insectoid, (6) Specialist and (3) Longshot team bonuses.
The last build we’re showcasing for the season 2 of Red Tides are the Beast-Raptors. The basic idea of this team comp is to have 6 Beasts for the maximum attack speed bonus to all Beasts and their allies. This, paired with Raptors makes a great combo because Raptors are hard carries in this particular lineup and having attack speed on them is awesome. Since more attack speed means higher mana generation, Devourer and Sunfire will cast their ultimate much more often, annihilating your enemies very quickly. This particular build also gets (3) Vanguard and (2) Guardian simply for the additional front-line and defensiveness of this team. Overall, a very easy to build team comp that is perfect for beginners in any game mode, be it solo ranked, casual or even duo!
