Best Chess Rush Builds

Picking the best Chess Rush build is crucial if you want to win games and finish in the top 3 places in order to rank up during ranked games. There are many team compositions out there and picking the strongest ones might be hard, especially for beginners. The meta comps are shifting with each patch and since the introduction of season 1 in Chess Rush there have been builds that are simply too strong to pass up on if you like winning. In this Chess Rush Guide we’ll be showcasing the best Chess Rush builds and team combos for Season 1.

Cyborg Goblins

Cyborgs are great units for beginners because they are exceptionally easy to build whilst being incredibly powerful due to their unique synergy that allows them to be very tanky. By going Cyborgs, you’ll also get Engineer (4) bonus that makes four of your Engineers have even more regeneration. Paired with the 75 Armor and 30 Life Regeneration bonus, these Engineer units will have a total of 75 Armor and 185 Life Regeneration per second– which is a lot! They will be close to unkillable, especially at a higher rank. Adding Goblins to the mix will boost the Attack Speed of your whole team, effectively making the highly defensive team do lots of damage too. Overall, a must try build for any new player that is just getting started in Chess Rush game, be it in Ranked or Normal queues.

  • Hog Rider
  • Totemface
  • Voodoo Elder
  • Berserker
  • T300
  • Joey
  • Miss Supersonic
  • Groundsmasher
  • Stalker Drone S90
  • Bionic Ninja (or Steel Fist)

Furry Assassins

Assassins can deal tremendous amounts of damage, at the cost of their low life. Without any front line or units to soak the hits, Assassins will not be effective enough and can’t win rounds to get to top 3 in any way. As such, going Furries (or Elves) is a perfect choice. In this particular patch we’ve chosen Furry synergy because once the full bonus is acquired, all Furry units will have a 2000 damage shield (which is A LOT). In case you just can’t get the Furries and you do have both Sword Dancer and Stinger, then go for Evergreen as the front-liner. With the 25% chance to evade attacks, Evergreen can be enough front-line in most cases until the end-game.

  • Bionic Ninja (or Sword Dancer later)
  • Lilith
  • Stinger
  • Siren
  • Horned Menace
  • Venom
  • Bangar
  • Firefur
  • Wukong
  • Starhorn

Sorcerer Humans

Sorcerers pair up well with Humans because most Human units are Sorcerers so acquiring (6) Humans and (6) Sorcerers bonus is not as hard as it sounds (although it’s a very hard build to play). Sorcerers are an awesome choice for intermediate to expert players who know what they’re doing. You might ask why? To pull off the Sorcerer Humans and actually win a game or end in top 3, you’ll need to have a great economy, supreme positioning and know when to roll for units & what to upgrade. As such, don’t attempt these if you’re a new player, better go with the Cyborgs.

  • Frost Lotus
  • Void: Destruction
  • Werewolf
  • Templar Knight
  • Flamecaller
  • Lightbringer
  • Starhorn
  • Dragoon
  • General of War
  • The Dark Mage

Hunters

Hunters are also one of the excellent choices for beginners (or even experts, as they’re very powerful even in highly ranked games) because they gain a whopping 60% damage bonus once all the six Hunter chess pieces are acquired. There are two good team synergies to run with Hunters: Undead or Riders. Depending on what your enemies are building and which units you’re getting you’ll want to pick between these two and focus on one. Personally, I like Riders more simply because they add the MUCH NEEDED front-line to Hunters– which they desperately need. Along with that, they’re easier to position and don’t rely so heavily on getting King of The Sea for the front-line cc.

Undead Hunters

  • Famine
  • Hog Rider
  • Calamity
  • Glutton
  • Misfortune
  • Firefur
  • Forest’s Breath
  • Stalker Drone S90
  • Kraken
  • King of The Sea

Rider Hunters

  • Famine
  • Hog Rider
  • Calamity
  • Firefur
  • Forest’s Breath
  • Stalker Drone S90
  • Kraken
  • Scourge
  • Unicorn Cavalier
  • King of The Sea
