The Division 2 has a whole lot of content and you might have missed a very little but important aspect of the game– trading and sharing items. Trading items with your friends makes it a great feature to have because you can ask them to keep an eye for certain weapon drops or even boost each others’ gear score so you can reach higher World Tiers faster. In this short but useful Division 2 guide we’ll teach you how to trade and share items with other players in the Division 2.

For example, say your friend just started playing but you want to play together. You can actually join your friend and do a mission together, all the items that drop for you will be scaled to your GS level, meaning that you can then trade those items to your friend and boost them up incredibly quickly. This little neat trick can be used to reach World Tier 5 very fast.
In order to be able to trade and share loot in the Division 2, you’ll first have to check whether your items are tradable. When you play in groups of players, all the items that drop will receive a certain timer which shows you the amount of time those items are tradable. Any items that you have in your inventory that can be shared and traded to others will have a distinct little icon in the top left corner.
If you have an item that can be traded, click on it and in the bottom right corner you’ll see a bunch of information about that item. By scrolling down, you’ll notice the timer at the bottom which indicates for how long you can share that item to others and who they can be traded to.
Once you’ve found an item that you can trade to other players. Click it and open the item options (shortcut can be seen on the bottom right side of your screen).
Clicking the “Share” option will drop that item on the group so other players can pick it up. Note that only the players that are shown under the Share timer will be able to pick it up.
