Assassins have some crazy high single target DPS which is built around Critical Damage. The Assassin class is viable for any content but Assassins really shine in World Bosses and Dungeons because of their burst. They have high mobility with their dashes but they are really squishy and Assassins don’t have any heals or shields which makes it a hard class to master. This MS2 Assassin Build Guide will teach you how to build the strongest Assassin in order to clear any of the highest level content available.
Check the video below for a brief intro into the Assassin character.

Assassin Attribute Points
The main stat on an Assassin that is built for Crit is Luck. Most (if not all) Assassin builds utilize critical hits as a main damage boost and maxing out Fatal Strikes will boost your DPS by a ridiculous amount. Therefore, go full points into Luck if you’re going with Fatal Strikes, otherwise Critical Hit Rate should do (not maxing Fatal Strikes is a mistake though). You can always reset AP for free so test your DPS for your current Assassin build until you find the best Luck/Crit Rate ratio.
Leaps forward 4.5 m. This skill can cancel other skills.
Costs 40 stamina.
Send your mirror image to the nearest foe within 8 m in front of you, dealing 23% damage and marking them, stealing their energy to grant you 1 SP every 0.1 sec for 30 sec.
Assassin throws a weapon at the closest enemy within 8 m which breaks apart on impact to deal 215% damage to 8 enemies within 3 m. The damage of this attack is affected only by the weapon in your right hand.
Costs 20 SP.
Assassin throws both weapons at the closest enemy within 8 m to deal 76% damage two times. Each weapon ricochets to other enemies within 3 m and deals 76% damage two times. The damage of each attack is affected by the weapon that is thrown.
Throw your weapon forward 8 m with a strong spin to deal 99% dark damage 2 times to 8 enemies. Damage of this skill is affected only by the weapon in your right hand.
Costs 13 SP.
Become invisible for 12 sec. While invisible, your movement speed increases by 21% and your SP recovery increases by 2. While invisible, you can ambush enemies, stunning them for 1.5 sec. Using a skill or an item, or being hit by an enemy, will instantly reveal you.
All your skills and attacks become critical hits for 8 up to a maximum of 17 seconds. Fatal Strikes is ridiculously strong and all builds should run it, even at level 1.
Assassin equips 4 homing weapons in each hand, and throws them at 8 enemies up to 8 m away. These weapons deal 39% damage per hit. The damage of each attack is affected by the weapon in the respective hand.
Costs 15 SP.
Throw 5 weapons forward which deal 211% damage 2 times to 8 enemies within 8 m. In case an enemy is marked for death, the weapons deal an additional 211% dark damage. The damage of each attack is affected by the weapon in the respective hand. Costs 30 SP.
Mark of Death
Attacks against foes with 30% health or less have a 25% to mark them for death for 6 sec. Marked enemies take 1% (10%) additional damage from all Assassin’s sources of damage.
Throw 3 weapons at the closest enemy within 8 m in front of you, dealing 59% damage 6 times. Only your throwing hand will affect the damage of that cast.
Costs 15 SP.
Throw a huge weapon which deals 97% dark damage to 5 enemies within 3 m 5 times. The damage of this attack is affected by the weapon from your right hand.
Costs 30 SP.
Assassin summons 3 mirror images and sends them toward 3 enemies up to 8 m in front of you which deal 83% dark damage each whilst shadow marking the enemies for death. These shadows marks last for 6 sec and increase damage taken by 1%. Your mirror images’ shadow marks stack with your marks of death. The mirror images will never attack the same target.
Assassin summons a mirror image and backsteps 3 m. The summoned mirror image explodes after 1 sec, throwing out a web that deals 28% damage to 5 enemies within 3 m and entangles them, reducing their movement speed and jump power by 10% for 4 sec and dealing an additional 14% damage every sec for 4 sec. This skill can cancel other skills.
Costs 28 SP.
Thrown Weapon Mastery
Your weapon attack is increased by 1% when you have thrown weapons equipped.
Assassins increase their damage of Shadow Burst, Shadow Cutter, Soul Grind, Shadow Web, and Death Sentence by 2%.
Mirror Image: Dark Blade
Assassin marks a 2.25 m radius spot on the ground with an insignia of darkness for 10 sec. This insignia deals 236% dark damage to 3 enemies within the mark by sending a mirror image to attack them. This skill also reduces the enemy’s accuracy by 20 for 10 sec. All skills have a 30% chance to summon additional mirror when enemies under effects of the previous debuff are hit. These images attack them for 23% dark damage 4 times. Summoned mirror images can only appear once every 1.5 sec. The accuracy reduction does not stack therefore use it wisely.
Assassin Lucky Stars, Star Chaser, Star Flurry Build
This MS2 Assassin Build is IMO the best one. Left side of the skill tree is pure awesomeness, you can play this build efficiently for clearing both Epic Quests (aka leveling) and end game content. Only use this build if you have two weapons of similar damage because this build scales off the damage on both of your weapons.
This Assassin build focuses on Thrown Weapon Mastery in order to easily deal a lot of damage without requiring too much skill from the player. You can pretty much play this build from level one up to the endgame and not have any major issues other than the SP drain early on. The build itself is quite overpowered IMO. Even on undergeared characters it performs extremely well. By having all your damaging skills on a Macro it is arguably the easiest build in the game.
You have to macro Lucky Stars, Star Chaser and Star Flurry together, press the macro button and clear everything. Always use Shadow Chaser for additional SP recovery versus bosses and don’t forget that Fatal Strikes is ridiculously overpowered so always use it whenever you’re sure you can just sit on one spot and DPS the enemy down.
- You can max Fragmented Star instead of Star Chaser for more burst damage, but this is situational and therefore works better only in some dungeons.
Assassin Lucky Stars Variant With Shadow Cutter
Assassin Shadow Cutter Build
This Assassin Build has a lot more single target damage than the previous one but it is extremely hard to play because you can’t macro all the skills. You should use this MS2 Assassin Shadow Cutter Build only if you have one weapon stronger than the other and if you’re capable of pressing 5+ buttons to cast Spells whilst dodging enemies.
Your main focus for this Assassin Build is around Lucky Stars, Shadow Cutter, Shadow Burst and Soul Grind as your main damaging spells. The build itself is viable for all content and it has great AoE but beware of its high skill cap. Use this build whenever you have a lot stronger main hand weapon than the off hand one.
You can macro Shadow Cutter and Lucky Stars to some extent but you’ll have to manually cast Shadow Burst, Soul Grind, Fatal Strikes, Shadow Chaser and Dash. The basic idea of this build is to use Soul Grind and Shadow Burst first and once they’re on cooldown spam your macro button which will shoot Shadow Cutter and Lucky Stars. Remember to cast Fatal Strikes whenever you can and use Shadow Chaser if you see yourself low on SP (it’s very good on boss fights).
Assassin Mirror Image Build
More of a Meme support build than a viable one but you can still have some fun with it. I personally wouldn’t use it for any end game content. You can use this to farm World Bosses, it’s relatively simple to play but it doesn’t do all that much other than providing somewhat useful debuffs to your enemies, such as the movement speed slow and accuracy reduction.
This build can’t run any macro but the good thing is that it’s very easy to learn the skill cycle. Dark Cloak->Death Sentence->Mirror Image->Shadow Web.
