Maplestory 2 Best PvP Classes
The Maple Arena was introduced in the Skybound Expansion patch. Maple Arena is a place where players that have reached level 50 can battle each other in a best of three battle. You can join these PvP matches by opening the Maple Arena menu and queuing for a match. By winning matches and climbing the ladder, you'll be earning Valor Tokens which are a new type of currency that allows you to buy stuff from the Arena Shop such as: special items, an Outfit set based on the Arena Gear and the special Tamed Pyrros Fard Epic ground mount! This MS2 Best PvP Classes guide will give you an idea of what are the most powerful characters that currently dominate the Maple Arena.

The new PvP Maple Arena is a ton of fun, but it's also a very stressful experience for many MS2 jobs (classes) because only a few are really viable. With the gear being purchasable from the Arena Shop for mesos, all you really need is good knowledge and a powerful PvP class to kick it off. The current Maplestory 2 PvP meta is being dominated by ranged classes because they have everything in their kit: safe damage from range, excellent mobility and ways to counter stuns in order to control the battlefield. The only PvP viable melee character is the Knight because Knights have solid match-ups versus all classes due to their means of reducing damage and being relatively tanky.
PvP Tier List
Wizards are currently the most overpowered Player-versus-Player class because they got buffed twice in the last month. The notables here are: being able to cast Flame Wave while jumping, Arcane Blast stunning for 0.5s (up from 0.3s) and increased slow on Ice Spear to 50%. These three things make Wizards broken because you can Arcane Blast to render the enemy unable to dodge the Thunderbolt nuke and then slow them to death with Ice Spear until your cooldowns are back up. This is the best way to quickly get Valor Tokens because gameplay is not that hard and you can rinse and repeat the strategy until you're swimming in Valor Tokens!
If you prefer melee classes, Knight is currently your only option. The Knight has a great toolkit for reducing a lot of the damage that the enemies do which lets him get up close and cut them to pieces. Using Iron Defense, Iron Shield, Bulwark and Shield Wall are all great ways to mitigate damage, especially in this ranged pvp meta and getting up close to the enemy is no problem for the Knight because of Shield Charge.
Archers feature a variety of ranged spells which are all really strong. Being able to dodge roll and kite the enemy as an Archer is a must, and without much crowd-control effects in the Archer kit you'll have to heavily rely on your skill in order to outplay the opponent. Nonetheless, Archer is an awesome pick for any situation but do note that Archers have a long cooldown on their movement ability so POSITIONING IS KEY!
Heavy Gunners are an awesome pick for both PvM and PvP, they are arguably the highest damage dealer in the game and the heal from Med Kit has an actual use now. There are a few Heavy Gunner builds that work well for PvP and they're not that hard to play as well. All you have to do is learn the skill cycles and you're set.
Soul Binders were added in the same update as the Maple Arena. Soul Binders are the last on this list of powerful PvP classes. Since they are ranged, winning a battle is no problem if you are skilled enough and having Illusion (very strong movement skill) is just icing on the cake. There is a lot more testing to be done in terms of Soul Binder's viability in a PvP setting but overall it's a very well rounded class and you should have no problems winning a high percentage of your PvP games as a Soul Binder.
