What's The Best PoE Build For Me?
Melee Build

Path of Exile Fossil Locations List Spawn Biomes PoE Guide Tips And Tricks

Melee Builds have been having a rough time during Synthesis, though they're still a good pick if you're a casual player. In case you do love to play Melee builds, and you've got a lot of currency, Melee Dps/Tank Builds such as the Tectonic Slam Juggernaut will fit you well. On a budget, the build is very tanky and can clear most content but you'll need to throw in currency if you're planning to do end-game bosses such as Elder and Shaper.
Spellcaster Build

Spellcasters are an excellent choice because there's a huge variety of spells you can pick from to suit your playstyle. Want to shread through maps really fast? Pick Flameblast. Want to do end-game bosses and Delves? Take Incinerate... What's great about most self cast spell builds is that they're quite cheap due to spells mainly scaling with levels and not gear.
Trapper/Miner Build

Trap and Mine builds are extremely powerful, even after the recent Arc nerf. The only problem with Trap/Mine builds is that they're often times quite squishy so they are not the preferred choice for Hardcore leagues, although if you've got enough currency you can make it happen even in HC. Trappers shred through bosses with close to no gear. For example a mediocre Arc Miner can easily do Atziri on day 2 of a new league and make crazy amounts of currency and it's quite easy to play them.
Summoner Build

Summoners have always been extremely powerful...With a horde of Zombies, Spectres or Skeletons at their side at all times, Summoner builds are a prime choice for beginners that are just starting out or even experienced players which want to do high depth Delves and end-game Bosses on a budget. If you prefer to do maps and have high clear speed, use a Victario's Charity with Vaal Haste and make your minions zap around clearing maps in a minute or two. In case you want to do Shaper or Elder, Zombiemancer builds are very easy and cheap to build.
Ranged Bow Build

Bow builds are very fun to play, safe and are great for magic find characters. In most cases though, they lack damage during party-play (unless you have sick gear). Overall, Bow Builds are able to clear all content with enough investment but they are often times squishy whilst that does not pose a problem in Softcore leagues, in Hardcore it does. If you're looking for an easy-cheap Bow build, check out Caustic Arrow, it can carry you to maps on a tight budget but it will start to be weak around T6 maps because you need to get good gear and gem levels to scale it.
Totem Build

Totem Builds are well...Totems. You will be able to clear most (if not all) content with trash items, all you need is to get 2 or more totems and enough health to survive monsters while your Totems murder them for you. The main problem with Totem builds is that you will deal zero damage so you're depending on your Totems attacking what you want them to. Other than that, Totem builds are an excellent choice for new players and beginners to PoE. Most people though, hate it because it's a dull and boring playstyle in most cases.
