Teamfight Tactics Best Gunslinger Build

Gunslinger 9.16 TFT builds are focused around the six core units: Miss Fortune, Lucian, Graves, Tristana Gangplank and Jinx in order to gain the (6) Gunslinger synergy which makes your Gunslinger units attack all enemies that are within their range (yes this does work with Rapid Firecannon). The squishy, high damage units have to be accompanied by a lot of front line champions that have high defenses so that they tank hits until the Gunslingers have killed all hostile units. In this Teamfight Tactics 9.16 Gunslinger build guide we’ll be going over the best Gunslinger team composition, what are the best items to place on them and what synergies work well with a set of Gunslinger units.

The 9.16 Gunslinger Team Comp in this article is viable for both Ranked and Casual TFT queues!

Gunslinger Team Buffs

Passive – After attacking, friendly Gunslingers have a 50% chance to fire an additional attack.

(2) Gunslingers – they attack only one additional enemy
(4) Gunslingers – they attack 2 enemies that are within their range
(6) Gunslingers – Gunslingers have a chance to fire 3 additional attacks

Early Game

Gunslingers are incredible during the early game because you can have four of them relatively quickly. The best early lineup is with Tristana, Graves, Lucian, Gangplank and Pyke because you gain (4) Gunslinger as well as (3) Pirate which will give you a tremendous advantage over other players since you’ll be on a win streak due to Gunslingers being a strong lineup and the bonus Gold from Pirates.

At this point you need to play smart because the more Gold you get, the easier it’ll be for you to roll for units later and level up in order to finish the full team comp as fast as possible. Always make sure you’re trying to upgrade your units (you need them at least level 2) and position them correctly so that they can dish out the most damage. Always place Tristana in the corner, Graves and Gangplank on the front line and Lucian one place backwards. Pyke’s position doesn’t really matter because he’s going to jump on the farthest enemy anyway, and then cast his ultimate to stun everyone in a line.

Graves is incredible with The Bloodthirster, Red buff and Infinity Edge. Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Statikk Shiv and Runaan’s Hurricane on Lucian. Morellonomicon on Gangplank because it triggers the health degen when he uses his ultimate, and his ultimate hits a good chunk of the enemy units. If you can get one or two Spears of Shojin on during early to mid game he’s going to carry you hard, and you’ll sell him later anyway to retrieve the item and replace with Miss Fortune.

Mid Game

Gunslingers sometimes fall off during the mid-game if you can’t get six of them up and running at this point. If you get Miss Fortune, place her in instead of Pyke. Additionally, add Jinx as the sixth Gunslinger. 7th place doesn’t really matter. In the event you can’t get MF/Jinx run Garen and Fiora for the (3) Noble bonus. If your Lucian is well geared at this point and if he receives the Noble buff he’s going to be unstoppable.

Keep optimizing your team positioning to counter enemies and make sure you have Miss Fortune in a good spot where she can catch most of the enemies with her ultimate. If you have a good Economy (and you should, because of (3) Pirates) then roll a bit and try to rank up Tristana & Graves to 3.

Same items setup as in the early game, just make sure to get Spear of Shojin and Morellonomicon on Miss Fortune because she’ll be your hyper-carry at this point along with Lucian. If you have to, sell the Pyke to retrieve items from him as you won’t need him soon anyway.

Late Game

During late game your goal is going to be to push for (6) Gunslingers if you haven’t yet, upgrade units and fill in the rest of the team. This team won’t be strong enough unless its fully complete at level 8, so make sure you have a good economy and you are able to level to 8-9 without any problems.

This team consists of: Tristana, Graves, Lucian, Miss Fortune, Jinx, Gangplank, Aatrox and Camille. Lastly, Yasuo is just a bonus. At this point, all your T2+ units should be at least rank 2, whilst T1 should be rank 3 to be able to deal enough damage and burst your opponents down to shreds.

As mentioned previously, Red Buff on Graves is ridiculously overpowered so make sure he has it, especially if you’re fighting high-health tanky teams!

Strongest Gunslinger Team Composition Setup

If you can get one or two Forces of Nature onto any of your units you’ll increase the Team Size to 11. By doing so, you can now add two more Blademasters onto the team for (6) Gunslinger (6) Blademaster which is nuts. The two Blademasters that you should add are Draven and Shen.

We sincerely hope you’ve found our Teamfight Tactics 9.16 Gunslinger build useful because it’ll easily carry you in TFT games where you fight tanky team compositions, though be careful against Sorcerers because they directly counter this comp.
