Dofus Rhineetle Guide

by GamerDiscovery
With the recent update 2.47, a new species of Mounts "Rhineetle" made its way into the World of Twelve. So far you could only breed and raise Dragoturkeys and Seemyools, now you're also able to do the same with the Rhineetles. This new Patch also introduced a series of breeding changes, and the ability to capture a mount even if you have one equipped (works for all mounts).
There are four types of Wild Rhineetles: Crimson, Ebony, Indigo and Orchid. Each of these mounts give different stat bonuses and by breeding them you are able to obtain up to 120 different mixes of Rhineetles which will have unique stats. This mount can only breed one or two times therefore be extremely careful which species you breed it with! You will have a 33% chance of getting: the color of the father, the color of the mother or the hybrid of the two.
For the Seemyools and Dragoturkeys pregnancy time goes up the higher Generation of mounts you're breeding, but for the Rhineetles gestation period is a static amount of 120 hours for all generations, which means your mount will bring their baby to life after 120 hours of pregnancy, which is quite quick especially for the higher Generations. These mounts are very rare, their respawn rate is only once or twice a day (per Wild). Like Dragoturkeys, these mounts can obtain special "Traits" or Mount Bonuses if you wish, these include the: Chameleon, Load Bearer, Wise and many more. Do note that even though the Wild Rhineetles are always alone in a group they are designed only for level 200 characters to beat, so don't expect an easy fight if you're lower level or have less than optimal set.
The Jade, Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire colors/species have been added, which have never been seen before in any other Mount types.

Rhineetle Capturing Net
In order to capture a Rhineetle you will need a Rhineetle Capturing Net which can be crafted by a level 200 Handyman. The Capturing Net must be equipped in the Weapon slot before starting the fight (you don't actually attack with it in a battle).
General Rhineetle Info
As explained in the introduction, there are 4 types of Rhineetle species in the wild (Crimson, Ebony, Indigo, Orchid). Each species of Rhineetle respawn in their own huge areas so it will take quite a bit of luck and dedication to find one. All the Wild Rhineetles are in invulnerable state from the beginning of the fight.
- Equipping the Rhineetle Capturing Net you will able to capture the Rhineetle (it is destroyed at the end of the fight once the mount captured) and you will also need the Mount Taming spell.
- During the fight your goal is to raise the number above your character or the Rhineetle up to 5 (I, II, III, IV, V) which will allow you to kill and capture the mount once you cast Mount Taming, do note that the way to achieve these numbers differs in each of the Wild Rhineetle species.
- It is easiest to kill the Rhineetles ALONE (lvl 200). Having more people in the fight results in the Wild Rhineetle being a lot stronger!
- Rhineetles are fed with Nuggets.
- They are able to reach up to 30,000 Energy (a much higher amount than DT's and Seemyools).
Wild Rhineetle Types
Capturing a Wild Crimson Rhineetle
To capture the Wild Crimson Rhineetle you will need to: remove at least 1600 HP per turn, have 5+ MP. Note that this is the easiest Rhineetle to catch.
Fight Tips:
- Each turn the Wild Crimson Rhineetle summons a Golem monster (1600 HP and 0 resistances).
- If the Golem is still alive in the next Rhineetle's turn, it kills the Golem and spawns a new one.
- The Golem has the Close Combat and Ranged Invulnerability states which rotate each turn.
- Whenever you kill a Golem, a number will appear above Rhineetle, meaning you need to kill 5 Golems to be able to capture it by casting the Mount Taming spell.
Spells:
- Volkéclat: Hits for 300 Earth Damage.
- Volkalme: Hits for 500 Earth Damage.
- Volkarapace: Gives the Golem either Ranged or Close Combat invulnerability.
Capturing a Wild Ebony Rhineetle
To capture the Wild Ebony Rhineetle you will need to have at least 5 MP and Teleportation abilities, such as Iop's Jump.
Fight Tips:
- Tornado is summoned every turn and is Invulnerable to ALL damage.
- Ending your turn adjacent to the Tornado will give you 1 number.
- Reaching number 5 (V) will let you capture the Rhineetle by casting Mount Taming.
Spells:
- Volkair: Deals 400 Air Damage and attempts to remove 4 MP.
- Volkattirance: Attracts you and deals 500 Air Damage.
- Volkontrôle: Sets one person in Gravity State for one turn.
- Volkarapace: Removes 1 MP (Infinitely) for each number present (meaning if you end your turn twice next to the Tornado you will lose 2 MP).
Capturing a Wild Indigo Rhineetle
Capturing the Wild Indigo Rhineetle is rather simple, the fight revolves around good placement and classes such as the Panda, Sacrier and Iop work really well.
Fight Tips:
- Starting first turns and every other, Indigo Rhineetle will summon 2 x Tear shaped monsters (they are invulnerable).
- These monsters are spawned far from each other and the goal is to group them up by pushing one of them to the other.
- Pushing one of the monsters on the other one kills it and gives the surviving monster a number.
- The goal is to get a Tear monster to reach number 5.
- Pushing a Tear with no number on the one that does will consume it and make you start from scratch.
- Once the Tear monster reaches number 5 (V) you can cast the Mount Taming spell to capture the Wild Indigo Rhineetle which kills it and finishes the fight.
Spells:
- Places Tear in the heavy state (unable to move it).
- Pushes Tear.
Capturing a Wild Orchid Rhineetle
The fight with Wild Orchid Rhineetle can be rather hard for characters with low health, but generally you just have to hide behind walls and push the Orchid Rhineetle away.
Fight Tips:
- Every turn the Wild Orchid Rhineetle will place a fire damage Glyph. The Glyph lasts only one round.
- To get a number, you simply have to end your turn in the Glyph.
- To be able to capture the Wild Orchid Rhineetle you need to reach the number V (5).
- Once at this number, you can cast the spell Mount Taming which kills the Orchid Rhineetle and captures it.
- Finishing a turn in the Glyph removes 30% of your fire resistance for the whole fight (stackable) which cannot be unbewitched. The Orchid Rhineetle hits in Fire Damage therefore this is a very bad debuff for you.
- It requires LoS (Line of Sight) to hit you, so just hide behind a wall, stand in the glyph and avoid hits by pushing the Rhineetle away.
Spells:
- Volkolère: Deals 400 Fire Damage (needs LoS).
- Volkardeur: Deals 400 Fire Damage (needs LoS).
- Cremation: Deals 500 Fire Damage and gives you 40% erosion.
- Volkarapace: Deals 500 Fire Damage when you finish a turn in the Glyph and also gives you an infinite debuff of -30% Fire Resistance for each turn spent in the Glyph.
Wild Rhineetle Locations
The Wild Orchid Rhineetle is located on the Pandala Island.
The Wild Indigo Rhineetle is located on Frigost Island.
The Wild Crimson Rhineetle is located on the Otomai Island.
The Wild Ebony Rhineetle is located in any of the four Divine Dimensions.
Recycling/Exchanging Rhineetles
Exchanging a Rhineetle Certificate will grant you 1 x Rhineetle Horn (a much needed resource for the crafting of the latest high level gear) with a NPC at [-78, -42] . The only condition for the NPC to make an appearance is to have finished the quest: Up There on the Mountain.
